Health & Nature #2 (12.06.23 at 6-8 PM)
Health and Nature #2 is the second in the Health and Nature series at Green River College. it is the second class, although the classes can be taken in any order. There will be a very brief review of the first class (Health and Nature #1); however, this class will contain primarily additional info and a new virtual in class Forest Therapy walk. Some of the topics for the #2 class will include:
· A couple more examples of research supporting Forest Therapy, including the value of 1) Silence in nature, 2) Being in awe of nature, 3) Fractals in nature etc.
· Considerations for your own ‘DIY’ Forest Therapy walk and places to immerse.
· Forest Therapy’s growth here and globally, due to its profound impact on
well-being.
· Perceived stress and its impact
· A virtual Forest Therapy walk to help counter the potential stress of the holidays.
Come join us for a few hours in our Health and Nature class at GRC’s Enumclaw campus. We understand that the weather and holiday festivities can be a little more challenging to schedule around, this time of year. Yet, during this busy season it may be more important than ever to take time to relax and just be present in nature. Remember as ‘fun’ as the holidays are, they can create stress. Taking time to be in nature can help to counter some of the impact of the holidays on one’s well-being.
You can pay for the class by clicking on the ‘Book Now’ green button and using PayPal. Or you can sign up, because we need to know the actual attendance ahead of time, and you can pay with $20 in class. Please remember to email
